PRIVACY POLICY AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION FOR THE INTERNET
1. Preface
Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. applies a privacy policy based on the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. This policy statement is intended to inform you about how Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. collects and processes personal data, including data that may be given during your visit to the clinic's website, when submitting an application or using a service, during your service and contacts with staff, as well as when reporting a problem with our website.

According to the interpretation of the Rules of Procedure:
“personal data”: (hereinafter referred to as "PD") is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ('data subject'); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;
while
'processing' means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available; the association or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction of personal data
"Controller" is any natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
"Processor" means any natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
"Data Subject" (hereinafter referred to as "DS") means the natural person to whom the data refer and whose identity is known or can be identified, directly or indirectly, on the basis of an identification number or on the basis of specific elements characterising his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural, political or social identity.
"Recipient" means the natural or legal person, clinic or other body to whom personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities that may receive personal data in the context of a specific investigation in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be considered as recipients; the processing of such data by those public authorities is carried out in
accordance with the applicable protection rules the data depending on the purposes of the processing,
"Third party" means any natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body, with the exception of the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the
controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.

4. The information collectedIn the context of their official work, the various Departments of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. may collect and process the following personal data:
• Identity and contact details which may and depending on the case include name, address, telephone number, passport number, as well as other personal data related to access to the services
of Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd.
• Financial and payment data including bank accounts and other information necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention, debit/credit card numbers and any other information regarding payment or billing.
• Professional information including information provided during a contractual relationship between individuals, organizations or companies and the services of Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. or provided on a voluntary basis.

5. The use and processing of personal data / Purpose and Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing Personal data may be processed by the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. only for any of the following

• when an individual or organization offers to provide or provide services to the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic

• for the purposes of processing applications for employment or recruitment, The PD that are usually collected are: Identification, contact, CVs of employees of the bidder.
• for the purpose of controlling entrances / exits at the Offices of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. and for security purposes, the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. has installed video-surveillance cameras (CCTV) for security purposes, at the entrance and exit of the building as well as around the controlled parking areas. The cameras take images of staff and visitors when entering/exiting the Offices and controlled parking areas or when exiting the emergency exit (in case of emergency). The legal basis for the processing is based on the provisions of Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation for the fulfillment of the legitimate interest of Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. Images are kept for 2 weeks.
• for the purposes of exercising or defending legal rights or to comply with court orders, and
• for any other purpose related or ancillary to any of the above or for any other purpose for which personal data were transmitted to the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd.
6. The processing of personal data is possible for any of the aforementioned reasons or may be based on one or more of the following legal bases:
• when the collection and/or processing of the data is necessary for the effective fulfillment of the duties of the staff of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd.,
• when the collection and/or processing of PD is necessary for the processing of the applicable Legislation responsibilities of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. criminal, civil, administrative, disciplinary, revenue/expenses, or other matters related to the legal obligations of Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd.,
• when processing is necessary to satisfy the data subject's request or to fulfill a contractual obligation with an individual or organization;
• for purposes of compliance with legal obligations as well as for the purposes of keeping a record of compliance procedures or for compliance a record of fees and taxes; where the data subject has expressly consented to the processing of information concerning him or her.
In case of non-provision of the necessary minimum personal data by contractors with individuals or employees of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. will result in the non-fulfillment of the obligations of the
Clinic due to the fault of these contracting parties.
7. How long does Eliza Loizou Veterinary Clinic Ltd maintain your Personal Data?
The retention period of PD by Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. is decided according to each intended
purpose and is determined in the data retention policy. For the determination of the time period,
obligations imposed by national or European legislation are taken into account.
8. Communication and transmission of information. The information collected may be transmitted as follows:
• to government departments, services or other competent government bodies and organizations within Cyprus or to third countries in the context of performing the duties, powers and responsibilities of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. and/or when required by law and/or after obtaining the consent of the person affected;
• to third parties, including providers of specific services contracted to the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. and only in relation to the services provided;
• courts, law enforcement authorities, arbitrators, government officials or other persons when reasonably necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim or right or for the purposes of an out-of-court dispute resolution procedure;
• service providers employed or bound under an agreement with the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. process personal data on behalf of Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. for any of the reasons mentioned above and only in accordance with the instructions you will receive from it.

TS have the right to request restriction of processing - (a) when the accuracy of personal data is disputed and until it is verified, (b) when they object to the deletion of personal data and request instead of deletion the restriction of their use, (c) when personal data are not needed for the purposes of processing, but are necessary for the foundation, exercise, support of legal claims, and (d) when they object to processing and until it is verified that there are legitimate reasons that override the reasons for which they object to processing.
• Right to disclosure
The Controller informs any correction or deletion of data or restriction of processing to each recipient to whom his or her personal data has been lawfully disclosed and informs the data subject accordingly.
• Right to portability
This right applies only if the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. processes the PD based on the consent of the TS or for the purpose of concluding or executing a contract and the processing is automated, and concerns only the PD provided by the TS themselves. In such a case, the TS have the right to receive free of charge the PD concerning them in a structured one, commonly used and machine-readable format or request, if technically feasible, that Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. transmit the data directly to
another controller. In the event that personal data are processed by the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd., in the context of exercising its judicial competence pursuant to Articles 5 and 6 of the Protection of Natural Persons with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and the Free Movement of such Data Law of 2018 (Law 125(I)/2018), the rights of data subjects and the obligations of the controller are limited to the extent where: these restrictions are necessary and proportionate to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Eliza Loizou Vet Clinic Ltd. or Litigation.

14. Right to lodge a complaint
